Villa Morais Palace, in Ponte de Lima

Erected in 1892 by João Rodrigues de Morais, illustrious figure of Ponte de Lima who made fortune due to his trip to Brazil, is a “abrasileirado” (brazilian) building with a mixture of many styles. The facade with the ground floor of granite is neoclassical style.
The increase of the years 20 denotes Art Nouveau features, such as side door facing the park, the iron railings of the staircase and the irons of the basement windows.
In its magnificent garden with size of trees and unique characteristics, is implanted in a lake crossed by two bridges and a cave, of romantic inspiration.
